Default Brothers and sisters of the woods...

    Hello everybody,

I am departing on my journey on the AT in a few weeks probably April 7-9... I'm flying down to ATL. I am 19 years old and though I have a good amount of experience with hiking and the outdoors... life on the trail is going to be somewhat of a new experience. (I've hiked a few hundred miles in larger groups)

I'm probably going to be pestering you vets quiet a bit with questions if your open to giving a hand.

That's all I got for now... I look forward to meeting anyone and everyone and hearing whatever you got to offer and share with me...

Take care and God bless (or whatever you believe in)

    The Phoenix

The Phoenix, welcome. Check out the forums where you'll find a ton of great information about the AT and hiking in general. Read through some trail journals at http://trailjournals.com/ and you'll get some great insight about hiking the trail. Beyond that, the folks at this site will be happy to answer any specific questions you have. Enjoy your journey!
