Thanx to Smee and Peter Pan!
Met these fine young men at the recent Trail Days. They were kind enough to sell me a breathable, waterproof super light shell, already sewn to shape, and pretty cheap I thot. Turns out when I put it under my hammock and slipped a thin piece of open cell foam (shoulder to hip length, and maybe 30" wide), it worked like a dream in keeping me warm at 50* the other night. I dont think it weighs more than 17 oz all together. I used a light summer bag as a quilt.
Just a comment from a pleased hammock hick.
