GSMNP: Me SOBO Oct 9 - 12

I had a friend who was going to pick up my car at Standing Bear and drive it down to Fontana Dam but he had to cancel his hiking trip.

I would like to hike SOBO thru GSMNP starting on the morning of Oct 9th and finishing on the 12th. This way I will not have to take any vacation time.

If there is anyone interested in hiking from Fontana north starting on the 9th I would not have a problem meeting you at SB and having you drive my car to Fontana Dam and leaving it at the Visitors Center. That way you can hike at your own pace back to your vehicle.

I don't have to hike SOBO but it seems to work out better when I do.

I was thinkin about hiking GSMNP about a week later than you. My dates may have some flex to them. Are you locked into the 9th as a start or will a week later work?? Just a thought. Todd

I'm locked in because I can complete the park without having to take any time off work. I've already done 5 AT hikes this year and I don't have anymore vacation time left for hiking.
