    Default transportation from VVR.

    I don't know how to post a new post, but I'm looking for info on getting a ride out of VVR. My friends will be hiking from Happy Isles to VVR with me this month and I will be going on to Whitney Portal. They are unsure how they would be getting back and was looking for a cheap option. If there was a way back to Reds Meadow or Yosemite, they could figure out the rest from there. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    nothing cheap that's reliable. VVR offers a shuttle to Fresno - $200 first two hikers. Other than that, it's hitch hiking on one of the gnarliest roads on the continent. It literally takes half a day to drive down to Fresno from VVR.
