    Default White Mts Summer vacation dates

    Hi, I am planning a section hike in the Whites in July or August of next year. I would like to avoid the school vacation period and any other busy times - can anyone tell me what dates are best to avoid?

    Default Summer Vacation

    Belinda,
    School vacation here is the States is roughly June 15th to Sept 1st, give or take. We have this July 4th holiday, when pretty much everyone is out of work and school.
    Depending on how long a section or sections you plan to hike, you might aim for during the week and it may be a little less busy. Also, the last week of August might be less busy than other times.
