Default Advice and/or feedback on a video trail journal?

I discovered at Stover Creek Shelter that my beloved mechanical pencil wasn't working, so I started doing a video journal for my six-day hike up to Dick's Creek. I've posted the first three days on Youtube, and was curious to get some feedback. My goal is to eventually make it to Maine in one- to two-week hikes, and I'm thinking about keeping up the video idea.

Let me know what you think. Thanks.

I *think* I've got Youtube sorted to where it will play these in full 1080p, but who knows...
(More coming soon, if anyone is interested.)

I watched your videos. I liked them. I like the idea of video journals.

I, personally would rather it be either all video or all pictures. But that's just me.

Really enjoyed watching about your hike though. Good luck with everything.

Cool videos, I enjoyed them and the banjo music in the background. Were you wearing Vibram Five Fingers? If so, how do you like them? I've been thinking about getting a pair.

    Adayak:

I love them. Randomly-wear-them-around-town sort of love them. They don't work for me as true hiking shoes (combination of bad ankles and bad eyes -- as in, I don't see the rocks in the trail to avoid them), but whenever my pack comes off, these things go on. Got a chance to do some flat-out trail running with them over flatland trails about a month ago and was really surprised at the feel and touch they give you of the ground. Not for everybody (you do feel every rock and root), and make *sure* you have them sized correctly, but I am a massive fan of mine.

Posted Day 4 (Lake Winfield Scott to Low Gap) today, in HD (yes, I am unduly happy about being able to post in 1080p):

Day 5 (Low Gap to Tray Mountain, probably my favorite day on the trail so far) should be coming tomorrow.

OK, got Day 5 (Low Gap to Tray Mountain) posted on youtube. Do be a favor and take a look. I've gotten some good feedback so far, but I'm heading back out for a week in August, and I want to make these better for next time:

Hope to have the final day (Tray Mountain to Hiawassee, and the "Fire on the Mountain" Memorial Day chili cookoff in Hiawassee) up tomorrow.

    Default Into Hiawassee

It only took me about a week longer than planned to get my last video of this trip up. It covers Tray Mountain Shelter to Dick's Creek and then into Hiawassee, then the Memorial Day festivities on the square in Hiawassee. Hope y'all enjoy.
