    Default Looking for a romantic picnic spot..

    Hi all, I am looking for a romantic spot to have a picnic somewhere in the Bethlehem, PA area. Does anybody know any good locations?

    Ideally I would not like to drive far (less then 30 minutes) and would not like to do too much work to get to the spot.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    I would drive up I78 towards NJ and make the last exit.
    Turn left at the light and then right when you hit the river road.
    Go down that road a few miles until you hit one of the parks that are built around the locks from the old canal.
    You won't have to walk at all and it will be nice, fairly quiet and scenic (with history)

    If you want a good spot on the AT, you'd have to walk. (probably uphill)

    Sorry, i now see you ARE from NJ.
    Make that the first exit in PA coming west then.

    Patty,

    Location is not what makes a picnic a romantic event.

    There was an Old Man with a owl,
    Who continued to bother and howl;
    He sat on a rail, And imbibed bitter ale,
    Which refreshed that Old Man and his owl.

    Well that killed the thread.... How old is that couch and does it smell of house cats?
