    Default Stoves...Quiet+Convenient..Can't find info

I know this subject musta come up somewhere, but I'll be danged is I can find it. But then I'm new here. I've been searching threads as far back as '05........Anyway....
these are the 2 things I want, Quiet & Convenient.
No filling, no assembly, so I'm pretty much set on a cannister stove.
    Are they quiet?
    Yes/No?
    Simmer?
    Yes/No?
OK then, what would you recommend?
wt. not THAT much of an issue
    Thanks for any help

...and require assembly. Pretty easy assembly but assembly nonetheless.

what's to assemble? unfold, screw in and you're done, right?

My canister stove is a Snow Peak GigaPower Titanium stove.
At under 4,000 BTUs it's very quiet, at 10,000 BTUs it sounds like a blow torch.
It simmers very well and fits inside my Vargo Ti-Lite Mug with the fuel canister.

Are your other requirements just as flexible?

+1 for the snow peak giga... i love that thing, simmers quite nicely and boil is pretty impressive over a faily wide flame so you dont get scorching.

also i have an optimus crux lite that simmers well but doesn't boil well. might have a bit more of a tinkering factor than you might appreciate but it definitely folds down a lot more compact than i need it to. i really like both of my stoves.

    Quiet = Alcohol Stove
    All require some fuss
All require carrying fuel except for wood stoves:

    Titanium Goat Ti Tri etc...

my jet boil will simmer,,and boil in 3-4 min,,but your going to carry a pound,,and it will roar when wide open to boil..quick and easy,,but I still prefer, whitebox alky stove for boiling water, no simmer with it tho.

OK Skid, so you're an ETOH burner. That was my first choice, but I decided I just don't want to mess around.
