    Default rattlesnake lanyards

made a couple of lanyards out of parachute cord. Definitely nice to have at all times. A little bit of extra string never hurts. I attach the orange one to my flashlight, and the green one stays on my key ring.

Red face A little extra string?

I am not sure what you mean by that!!

It could get out of control, I started by Cobra wrapping my Bowie sheath, Then added a tie down at the bottom, Then a Lanyard at the handle.
There is about 60 feet total on the knife and sheath.
I don't remember how much the Box design used on my keys.

I bought a 500 foot roll of 8 strand black 550 just for the purpose of making a belt but I have not started it yet. What are you using as a buckle?

two d-rings. same buckle idea as this belt. http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/35...bing_belt.html

then weave a ring onto the belt a few inches down to hold the extra belt left over...

I have two circular rings I was thinking of using, Basically the same as the D Rings. I am going to make my belt with the "King Cobra" design.
Think I'll start it tomorrow, Gonna take a while.

no, they are actually three sided, triangular, looks pretty cool. I also make a two sided one, also looks like a rattlesnake tail.

If I made one of those belts, I don't think I would want to un-do it in a survival situation... they're too cool!

I've been trying to make a belt that you can pull apart in about 3 seconds. I've started it a couple times and just can't get it to look right.

run the cords and hold them in place on a board with nails. then feed the line thru in a weave pattern.

quick and easy tip to keep things tight:

    - use a comb with spaces for the paracord strands lengthwise, and every few crosswise weaves snug everything up.

I never learned the box design at summer camp. Too impatient I think. But this stuff all looks great.
