For the longest time I always thought TG was on the 27th of Nov.; don't know how I got that idea. It hasn't been all that long ago I learned it was on the last Thursday of Nov. Goes to show how much I hate holidays; I just hate how giddy everyone gets...

Thats right it is on the last Thursday. I always though it was on th 25th...today is the 23. mmmmm...canned cranberry jelly stuff.

In this fast paced stressful world that we live in I hope everyone can find something to be thankful for today. I know I am thankful that my health is as good as it is, I have shelter and food, family, and freedom.

And in case you are wondering, Thanksgiving is the 4th Thursday of November, which is not necessarily the last Thursday, such as back in 2006 when Thanksgiving was on Nov 23 and the last Thursday was Nov 30.

My understanding of the first Harvest Festival here in the US did not involve turkey, but some fowl and deer!

My family feasted upon domesticated turkey this year although we have partaken of Pennsylvania wild turkeys on several occasions previously.

I bought a nice bottle of Grasă de Cotnari in Romania this summer and have been saving it for Thanksgiving. Sharing with the whole family so a hangover is not possible.
