    Default Thanks Jill

[QUOTE=JillJones][color=black][font=Times New Roman]....For I’ve found the Noble ones far outnumber the truly disturbed....

I agree. Sometimes it just seems like there are more negative people because they leave such a long lasting odor. Thank you for being a positive person. It is so much nicer to open a post and find something inspiring rather than something which gets my blood pressure boiling! Remember the saying "It is hard to fly with eagles when you are surrounded by turkeys". Keep on flapping Jill!

I agree, entirely. My fingers sometimes take over from my brain. When I catch them doing that I find it important to correct them immediately. It's something like training a dog. Discipline has to be immediate and firm.

Yes, a good point. But a different point than the one to which I responded to: In the first example the basis was for a troll altering his posts, whereas in your second point to which I am now responding, the troll misquotes others.

That said, whether I disagree with it or not, I think it'd be easier to accept if the edit button was removed from all boards or whatever you call them here. As it is now, it's easy to nag you and Rick about this one area not having the edit button that is found all throughout the rest of the forums.

To prevent this from happening ATTroll took away the edit function.

Just FYI, we sort or prefer the way things work here. People may post some obviously cruel, stupid, or improper stuff, but we would rather leave such things up where ya'll can read them and then make a judgment yourself as to what sort a person someone is rather that ATTroll and I always deleting posts and banning folks then ya'll wonder what the big deal was all about since the "evidence" is gone. Sort of like the trail community, people have to live with what they say, so they need to think before they say things - and if someone is far enough out there, the people will let them know, not some all powerfull admins.

    Good one SGT.
And since misperceptions abound on the internet, I didn't take his reply as such. More I took it as him simply making a point or stating 'how it was'.

Personally I am not opposed to giving back the edit function, just another button to me. I was more pointing out the fact that the quote button doesn't provide any adequate guarantee of a real quote since anyone can make one up:

An example would be me making a false post like this:

Fall guy, if you are going to post such ridiculous statements, at least have the guts to stand behind them and not delete them. I am sure everyone on the board would agree this is a stupid position.

Anyway, you could insert anyone doing such a thing to anyone else.

Speaking of the fall guy, have you ever wondered the long term benefits of being the six million dollar man dating the six million dollar woman?

Would you have a three million dollar kid if you impregnated another woman besides the six mil gal? It seems your subsequent generations would lose value, short of incest. How would you like to be known as the $6.27 man?
