Which hiker hostel do you prefer near Dick's Gap, GA. : The Blueberry Patch or Cloud 9 ?

Clould 9 has been closed for several years now. Blueberry Patch is always well regarded. So is Hiawassee Budget Inn...call them at (706) 896-4121

It depends on what you are looking for, there are not too many places that compare to the Blueberry Patch if you are into the home cooked meals, homey atmosphere, quiet, no smoking or booze, etc...a nice place.

But for more of a town experience, the Hiawassee Inn is in the town itself and has everything you need right around it, 5-10 min walk to a great grocery store, various food joints, the Inn itself has a shuttle and laundry and sometimes does breakfast and dinner runs as well.

Mulls Motel further in town is closer to the supermarket and may be a better location overall, but lacks the hiker focus the Inn offers.

Some people like the Holiday Inn Express in town, but for my money it's not worth it, especially considering other options.
