Photo Trip Report from the Whites

Well, the weather last weekend in the Whites was amazing. I can't recall a stretch of warm weather like this in the mountains since I have been hiking. VSA and I took Friday off and headed up to the Whites. We camped out at Barnes Field and did three day-hikes over the weekend. On Friday, we took Stony Brook up to Moriah. On Saturday, we took King Ravine up, then turned left on Chemine de Dames.. or whatever that trail is called. We were too tired and didn't have enough time to get Madison, however. Finally, on Sunday, we took winter Lions Head up to Washington. I hiked in a t-shirt for most of the hike.

Wow! Nice pics..love your favorite pic esp! One question, though. In the caption it says "Second favorite pic". Which is it?

In all seriousness, though I live in Colorado, the White will always be a special place for me. I tried to get to NH when I visited RI two weeks ago or so, but the weather (and a full schedule with the family) did not co-operate. Haven't been to the Whites in 5 yrs.

Whoops! I messed up the captions a bit on those two photos. I was uploaded them late last night so that might have had something to do with it. Five years since you have been back to hike the Whites, huh Mags? Don't worry, the day you do decide to come back for a look, it will rain for 5 days straight!
