Franklin Trail Days-any good?

Franklin NC has its Trail Days on 31 Mar. Their web site does not give any details. Can any of you relate the Franklin Days to the Damascus Trail Days? I enjoyed Damascus and might visit Franklin if they are comparable.

It's nothing like Trail Days in Damascus, but it's a fun time, most events centering around the Sapphire Inn in the heart of town. Ronnie Haven is a great host, there are all sorts of things going on in town, and the event is a lot of fun. But is it anything like Trail Days weekend in Damascus. No, it isn't but it doesn't try to be, either.

What Franklin has is fun but it is much smaller than the Damascus event. We also have a gathering in the evenings at The Sapphire Inn called The April Hiker Fool Bash.

The Bash at the Sapphire is what you should go to. Ron is great and you'll meet a lot of WBers and blue blazin' hobos from h&ll.
