Well on my Flip-Flop in 96 and on my thru in 2006 i primarely bought all my food at grocery stores or small mom and pop stores but this year i did try the mail drop system and had to give that up in Tennesse due to the fact that the USPS is drastically cutting back hours and closing some of the smaller offices you might get to a town and have to wait two or three days until the post office opens or it might be closed for good. so my advice to you is buy your food at the stores as you make your way north its just alot easier that way and faster. I agree with Red Dog buy food as you go you will never have to carry more than 3-4 days of food. You will get tired of what you mail it is ok now but for 5 months I don't think so.
The mountains are calling and I have to go
