The eXplorist series units all seem to be $150 off right now. I own the 710 and it is heavier and bulkier than other units but it does come with a complete set of road maps and a complete set of 1:24K maps that include pretty much all the major trails. I have even found minor trails here in Indiana already on there. Plus it has camera, video, and voice recording capabilities. I have used it for hiking, biking, and driving and if you section hike it comes in very handy for tracking down road crossings in the middle of nowhere.
