Assuming your 2 months is one month north and turning around for one month south, then 15 mile days brings you to Damascus, VA for your turnaround point. Damascus is a good place to resupply.
For points between, here's a list for you to consider. Others may chime in with more info.
Hiawassee, GA - 70 miles
Nantahala Outdoor Center, NC - 137 miles
Gatlinburg, TN or Cherokee, NC - 207 miles
Hot Springs, NC - 274 miles
Erwin, TN - 342 miles
Hampton, TN - 425 miles
Damascus - 467 miles
This assumes you're willing to shoulder 5-6 days worth of food at a time. Also, keep in mind the mileage I've provided is strictly AT. You'll need to venture off the Trail via hitchhiking or a shuttle to reach the towns. The exceptions are the NOC, Hot Springs, and of course Damascus.
And you still need to know where to send your packages or if you're buying in town, where the stores are. James, I suggest investing in one of the hiker service guides such as the ALDHA Companion where you'll find specific info. on these communities and others. Not that it's 100% necessary - hikers of years ago didn't have such guides - but it will help you tremendously.
Hope everything works for you.

Just read your other post - looks like I misunderstood. So another month of hiking north brings you to Shenandoah National Park, probably the middle, let's say Swift Run Gap/US Rt. 33.
Leaving Damascus:
Atkins/Groseclose (where AT crosses I-81) - 542 miles
Bland, VA - 587 miles
Pearisburg, VA - 630 miles
Daleville, VA - 722 miles (yeah I know, a long one)
Glasgow, VA - 779 miles
Waynesboro, VA - 856 miles - southern tip of Shenandoah NP
