    The very first clip from the video shows beyond doubt that the animal is a bobcat, wagging its short tail. What is disturbing is the fear and hype. Everyone is afraid. Cougars are NOT extremely dangerous. Only three people have been killed in the US and Canada since 1998.

    Cougars are abundant here, even showing up in the city on occasion. People rarely see them and, thankfully, mostly ignore them.

    It's sad that they couldn't even take the time to do a little research. A couple of minutes on google or actually opening a book would have shown them the truth.
