Hello everybody, I tried asking about this earlier but it was a wordy and scattered post which is probably why I didn't get much of a responseI wore my NB minimus on a 4 day section hike. On day 2, spots formed on the balls of my feet. It looked like a blister over a callus. Only one foot developed the blister, but they both had the callus thing. When the blister was drained (day 3) the two spots hurt very bad when pressure was applied. For 2 days after my hike it was painful when I walked (to the point I couldn't really walk for a whole day after the hike) then on the third morning after my hike the pain was completely gone and two circles were left on my foot (now gone).
The pain wasn't like a blister pain, it was much much worse, which is why I am trying to figure out if it was something more. Also, the two spots looked more like calluses. What would cause this? Any ideas? Figured this was worth another shot..month long section hike in July, rather not have to deal with this
I have run about 35 miles a week in the Minimus for some time now. My feet have been fine..but then again running and hiking with a 30lb pack are very different.
