Don't hike with them, but I do keep a set in the vehicle. Sushi is my guilty pleasure and I partake a couple nights a month.

No. My sticks have either tines or a small, shallow bowl at one end. Sometimes both

Heck, with all that spare time you can whittle yourself a pair.
I'm not really a hiker, I just play one on White Blaze.

It's crap like this that adds up and causes people to arrive on Springer Mountain with a 65 lb pack.

I forgot a fork or spoon on a weekend trip once. Made a pair of chopsticks out of a couple of twigs, and they worked just fine for most things.
    Don't take anything I say seriously... I certainly don't.

While the ones shown are of little value to backpackers, wooden chopsticks work well in cold weather. No cold metal to freeze to your lips.
Or, you may prefer a plastic spoon, but the wooden chopsticks are probably cheaper.

Tooth picks for the bears, to pick you out of their teeth after they eat you.....

Just kidding , I know most bears run from humans.
