I just got this 35* bag this week: http://www.westernmountaineering.com...eLite%20Series

Western Mountaineering Highlite. In a cuben stuff sack it weighs just a hair over 1 lbs - less than 1 lb, 1 oz... Packs down small as pooh and lofts up nice and big (for a 35* bag).

It's my first WM bag and I'm very impressed.

I've had one since it was introduced. Pretty much the gold standard in UL bags. Funny thing is that I find it too hot in summer and carry a 2# bag that's not as warm.

another really happy wm highlite user. i suggest you don't use a stuff sack -- just drop the bag in the bottom of your pack.

I'm a big fan of down-filled Montbell bags. Huge fan actually.

cheaper alternative is a North Face Kilo...32*, down and weighs 2 lb. but can be had for $100 if you shop.

I use mine with a 15oz tarp so my shelter and bag is only 3 lbs.....bag has lasted 15 years and still going strong.
