I'm sorry for your loss, Toli. I know how much you loved your doggie. I'm sure as he passed he dreamt of countless happy times on trail with you, and I hope as you hike on without him, your heart will be warmed by memories of times out with him.

I'm sorry for your loss, Toli. It's hard to lose a friend. Sounds like you have some wonderful memories.

I want to thank everyone for the kind words...
I know you'll never forget about Sidekick, that you were as loyal to him as he was to you. Sorry for your loss.
Life will go on. I lost my 16-year-old trail dawg Savannah about two months ago, and keep imagining I hear her in another room or outside. At first, it was difficult to even think about getting another one but on Monday I have a date to meet a "rescue" beagle mixed with a larger breed that might just be the one. If you want one, you'll find another dog too and Sidekick would want it that way, don't you think?
Sorry for your loss Toli.
All good hiking dogs go to heaven.

who cares, as long as there's free ice cream...
Morgan, I am so sorry. Forest is one of the great ones and I know you will miss him. But once you get beyond the broken heart you will have all those great memories that will put that smile back on your face.
BTW, I will be up at the house tomorrow afternoon and Wednesday without the ball and chain if you want to come by and drown your sorrow.
