Here are some thoughts. I don't know that my suggsted alternatives are better, but hopefully it helps you in some small way. The alternatives suggested amount to 5 or 6 ounces.

    Kabar Becker Necker 4.1 oz

    Alternatives
    I recentl purchased:
    Wenger Clipper 1.3oz
    http://www.wengerna.com/nail-clipper
There is also the Esquire at under an ounce. I believe Victorinox also has a similar model.

A quick internet search revealed something similar to what you selcted but at a weight savings. I have never actually seen this knife:
    Minimalist Wharncliffe
    Open Overall Length 5 inches
    Weight 1.1 ounces
    Blade Length 2 inches

    Deo For my B/O 2oz
Lose the deodorant. If you must:
find an alum stone. This is an example but others are out there.
Crystal Body Deodorant (Travel Rock) Deodorants And Antiperspirants 1 oz
    http://www.amazon.com/Crystal-Body-D...f=pd_sim_hpc_7

    Everything Wash 3.95oz

    Possible alternative
Peppermint Liquid Soap - 2 oz.
Even with the bottle I don't think it goes over 3 ounces. Pour some out if you must.

When do you plan to start this hike and which direction are you going?

If you're going NOBO in March ditch the platypus because you'll have to work hard to keep it from freezing up on you. My personal opinion is that they're just added weight anyway.. Gatorade bottles work just as well.

Are you going to be able to stay warm with fingerless gloves, vest and down sleeves?

If it gets cold and you're wearing your long pants the cloud kilt won't keep them dry and you'll have wet pants. Not so bad when it's above 60 but below 50 and that would be uncomfortable. Since you don't have any long johns you might want something to keep your legs warm.

You won't need sunscreen and deodorant on the AT....

I use a single edge razor blade instead of a knife...

What about tooth brush, toothpaste, floss, and hand sanitizer?

    Ibuprofen... First aid kit?

Maybe wrap some duct tape around your hiking poles?

Pack cover / trash bag for liner?

    Just my .02...

Does the Sawyer in-line really weigh 8 oz? It seems the same as the squeeze which is listed at 3 oz, just with different fittings.
Is the extra for the tubing of a gravity/hydration system? If you went with the squeeze system you might save a few oz in tubing.

Also throw in a book of matches. You should have back-up for fire starting (rubbing sticks together sucks).

    Thanks for the tips guys,
im realizing i forgot to post a few things in my list. Ill have to update that.

Im starting in March-April and going NOBO.
Some alternatives im going to need to think about are,
RainKilt for the colder months, I will have long underwear base layer and long sleeve baselayer in winter so ill need to adjust that in gear weights.

Im using some of the specified weights online, i have not yet purchased the sawyer inline, i just like the idea and the ease of use.
Is my hydration bladder freezing really that likely of an event to occur, i guess im assuming a little warmer temperatures during the start of my hike.

ill be making some changes to my list following this message, thanks for the replies!

No im doing alot of my winter shake downs this winter.
But from the research i've done my TQ and UQ + my vest and other down items i think 0-20 degrees should be doable.

Currently am using a Patagonia Down Jacket and that is pretty nice.
