Default Suburban housewife living in shelter...

Just a "heads up." There's a suburban housewife that's been living in Partnership shelter. I saw her there yesterday hanging up a new set of curtains. She said she was going to stay until her husband learned to appreciate her. She was just taking a batch of chocolate chip cookies out of the oven when I got there. My bed was already made up for me. She told me dinner would be at 6pm sharp and that she would put my name down on the chore list to do the dishes that night. She came to tuck me in at 9pm. I don't have any other details

She had better be careful giving out those cookies and free dinners. It could be labeled a hiker feed and then she'd be in big trouble around here.
It's called "Lyme" disease, not "Lymes" disease! (Hint: There's only one Lyme)

since we insist on labeling people on this sight shouldn't it be "domestic engineer"
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Yeah, I tried calling her that once....she handed me a frying pan through a cracked open door like Felix Ungers Ex-wife, and said "Here, cook your own dinner smart a$$".....I orderd a pizza, and ate the whole thing...by myself.

That is really scary! I don't want to sleep in a shelter with her or any nice, clean people! If we don't stand together on this we could find ourselves in a shelter that is clean, smells nice, and is comfortable. People like her could completely ruin the essence of hiking. I bet she doesn't even fart!

She might be moving back and forth from shelter to shelter. Partnership might be her home but her travel agent sends her places like Trimpi Shelter and Knot Maul Branch Shelter. When her friends go to far flung places like Tahiti, she goes to Wapiti.

I've been looking for a good reason to carry bear spray. Now I have one.

Rocket Socks got tired of the incessant talking and left the broom at the shelter, Said if you get tired use it to fly to Philadelphia Airport and I will come pick you up.
There was an Old Man with a owl,
    Who continued to bother and howl;
He sat on a rail, And imbibed bitter ale,
Which refreshed that Old Man and his owl.

She's got a better travel agent than her friends.

Six or sometimes five! It's hard to keep count.

You people are funny. I have hiked and biked with a fair assortment of alienated people, for one reason or another. The economically displaced are easier than the socially lost. Hopefully things will get better soon. Be nice.

There's nothing funny about this thread.
Some people take the straight and narrow. Others the road less traveled. I just cut through the woods.

If she's cooking id be willing to give her a few dollars for the meal, we can take advantage of what her husband is missing out on.
