    Looks like some of you were right. Guy was no where near hiking the Appalachian Trail. Dude was found in Cherokee County in a home with another resident.

    in a way i'm glad he was found. in a way i'm pissed off that he's had so many loved ones stressed out looking for him, not to mention the volunteer man hours, and he's been kicking back and having a few.

    There are two people missing in the Newfound Gap area of the Smokys in March, Derek Leuking and Michael Cocchini.
    Neither have been found as far as I can tell from searching news articles.
    The latest thing I found on them was from March 26.

    I went to high school with Derek, his family is still searching for him. There is a FB group if you want to keep up with it. He left a note saying don't come looking. I say let him be.
