    Question Cannot find it.....

    Need your help!

    Some years ago there was a Lady that had a web-site and even sold a small book of Recipes for dehydrated backpacking food! It could be used in "freezer-bag" cooking!

    Excellent recipes and excellent taste, nice little book!

    I cannot now find her site and I have lost her book!

    Anyone remember her or the book!!!!!! ................................. Thanks so much.....

    I have this cookbook and it is actually pretty good. It's a little expensive, but worth it IMO.

    I have Sarbar's book, and it's excellent.

    If she is not the woman you were talking about though, Dicentra and Laurie Ann also had books and websites. The name of Laurie Ann's book was A Fork in the Trail, I believe.

    trailcooking.com is a great site for recipes. Over the years I purchased about $1000 in cook books as part of my profession. That was before the great websites available like the foodnetwork or epicurious. The only cookbooks I really use anymore are baking and pastry books.

    There was an Old Man with a owl,
    Who continued to bother and howl;
    He sat on a rail, And imbibed bitter ale,
    Which refreshed that Old Man and his owl.

    Another place for dehydrated recipes online is backpackingchef.com. Not quite freezer bag cooking, but lots of good ideas and info.

    I'm sure she's fine WOO; she had a wee little one not that long ago. And babies take an amazing amount of time and energy...
