For those of you who have visited us in the past, or are heading our way in the future, here is a link to some stories and poems written by local people, and a link to some old photos of the town:
http://www.damascus.org/stories.html And for those of you who may have stayed in the Lazy Fox, or had breakfast there (a legendary breakfast indeed), here's a poem written by Ginny's late husband Ben: http://www.damascus.org/adams2.html The first north-bounders are starting to come through town now, pushing through our erratic March weather. The townspeople working on Trail Days are also starting to push harder, to make sure everything is ready for those of you who will be visiting. And maybe the rain will hold off this year. Richard www.damascus.org www.traildays.info ps: the photo at the bottom of the "stories" link is of my grand-father, father, and aunt, riding in one of the first cars in Damascus. |
