Default The WhiteBlaze AT Data Base

Last updated: 03/17/2007

Description
The WhiteBlaze AT Data Base is a in depth listing of mileages from key places and points of interest along with links to pictures of some of these places. Also in the listing it includes the state, county, elevation. Prospective thru hikers will find this data base very useful. The data base also includes the Approach trail for those interested.

Many thanks to one of our users "Veteran" for putting this together and sharing it with us and SGT Rock for the reference page.

This is in PDF format you may be required to have Adobe 5 or higher to view this.

Attention
This database was compiled in 2006. Some of the information is outdated and some establishments are now closed.

Hey attroll,

Don't know what the problem is, but I can't open it. Tried three times. I get a message that says the viewer cannot decrypt this document. Anyone else have a problem? or is it just me?

See you on the trail,

I downloaded a newer version of Adobe Reader. Now it works and I must say that it is quite impressive. Great job, Veteran!! (Couldn't help but notice some links to a couple of my pictures.)

No problem, but Veteran is the real person we need to thank. He is the one that put it all together and did all the typing. If you have any changes and inputs I would suggest you send them to him in a PM.

I can not remmber the exact detail of the fuss back then. I think it was just people trolling in the thread trying to stur things up, but the database has changed dramatically since then. I think if there would be any copyright to worry about we would be the ones going after someone else, rather then the other way around.

I using Firefox and to save it, it wanted to save as attachment.php. I renamed this to *.pdf and it opened. Not sure what it would do with IE.

Same thing no matter what system you are using.

It is in PDF format and must have that extension (.pdf for the 3 letters after the "dot") and you gotta have Adobe reader installed.

Adobe reader is free here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

Thanks Veteran.

This thing is great! If it could be condensed into something smaller I would definetly buy it. Hint hint.
