    mt washington is one of the funniest places in the ne to summit, with all the tourists on top after you sweated your way up huntington ravine for 4 hours.coffeeshop is welcome stop

    Just be happy that you can drive down to see them off on thir adventure. I'm booked solid this weekend otherwise I would save bummed a ride with you to meet the Aussies and wish Andy good luck in person.

    Roan Mountain in June is the same scenario. We grunted up the steep back slope and crossed the parking lot, full of cars, crammed with tourists. One of them looked at us in a shocked way and offered us a ride back down. I said, "Thanks, but we got this far, we're out to be miserable the rest of the way". Darn aggravating trail magic toting trail angels, always trying to mess with my hike
