Lightbulb Homemade Zip question

I plan to make a homemade zip stove ala Stg Rock, but i have a question. Is a 12V CPU cooling fan able to withstand the heat from the flames? or does much heat even reach it at all? what im really asking is anyone that has a ZIP stove; does the outside become too hot to touch??

You don't need the cooling fan if your inlet holes are large enough. It's not worth the weight anyway. I learned that from an army surplus "zip" that was way too heavy but burned great.
