Storm Damage North Of Pogo Memorial Campsite, Md, 08/08/09

This is a view of the A.T. looking north at a point approximately one half mile north of the Pogo Memorial Campsite. I had previously hiked this section in May and there has been some significant storm damage since then. Until the trail crews are able to make repairs, one should be prepared to make several small detours from the trail around fallen trees. The good news is that the damage is contained to a 1 mile section north of the Pogo Memorial Campsite, MD. SoBo 1138.2. NoBo 1040.1.
