I'll vouch for Packbacker. I've done two 100+ mile AT sections with him. He's a good trail companion. And yes, he's a Cheesehead!

Good to see a post from Tipi! Funny now that you mention it, I saw a Copperhead, my first pit viper, on the climb out of Ocoee in 2017.

At 67, on a steep trail, I would suspect heart attack. I suppose heat stroke is another possibility.
