reached Baxter State Park on 8/5. Had 6 zero days saved for bad weather or injury that I HAD to take then. Dinked around ME for those 6 so I could summit on 8/12. Why? 8/12 was my 60th birthday...and what a birthday! |

Did a Flip-Flop hike. I hiked north from Springer Mountain, GA to Skyland Lodge in the SNP, where I injured my foot. After it healed I hiked south from Katahdin, ME back to Skyland Lodge. |
