2#8oz vs 2#3oz Instead of having a single pole to the back it splits like the front making it truly free standing. The seedhouse has a rain fly that completely covers the tent, not stopping just short like the fly creek. It just seems more roomy being so taught. I saw Fly creek tents everywhere all summer and not even one seedhouse. Just curious why the seedhouse is not as popular. Is it the 5oz?

I suspect it's a weight thing. At least, that's why I bought a Fly Creek. It worked fine, but I replaced it last year--getting in/out of its door was something I found awkward.

Confused: my fly covers my whole fly creek UL2. I love my tent but agree the front entry may be the thing that has me switch some day.

I have Seedhouse SL1. It is roomy, easy to put up, very light and keeps you dry inside. The only things I don't like about it is the door at the narrow end is tough for us big guys to get into/out of. And I never could get the fly positioned correctly with regards to the door lining up as well as the support lines positioning properly. I usually put the fly on backwards as it seems to sit better that way. If I had to do it over again, I would have spent the extra $100-150 and gotten a Copper Spur UL1.

1234, I just noticed that Campmor is having a Big Agnes sale right now, if you are still looking. (I'm not affiliated with Campmor, but have bought gear from them, and would do so again. Great customer service and fast shipping.

Seedhouse UL1 is a great tent. I'm fairly big, but it seems to have plenty of room. Especially in the vestibule.

Started out 3 years ago with the Seedhouse SL2 as I was hiking with my son. Since it just me now I have switched to to the Fly Creek UL1. Yes the weight was why I went with the Fly Creek, and I find the UL1 easier to setup and take down than the SL2. Very happy with Big Agnes.

A friend of mine has the SL2. In what ways do you find it easier to set up? Pole systems seem very similar, though not identical.
