overnight hike in SNP

I am doing a quick overnight in SNP and need a little advice. I am putting in at the Bearfence parking lot and hiking North to Little Stoney Man parking lot. I think the total distance is about 17 or so miles. I would like to stay the night at a point that would leave about 6 miles in the morning. I think that puts me just past big meadows and near Rock Spring Hut. Can someone confirm? Also, is there ample places for hammocking? Most of my hiking is in PA and MD so I'm not real sure what the area down there is like.

yes, that would put you right at rock spring hut for the evening. there's plenty of trees all around there and a fabulous burbling spring
