View Full Version : Yellow Submarine
When you're hiking, did you ever realize that you have a song stuck in your head and you're hiking to the beat of the song? What song is it? For me, it's always the 'Yellow Submarine'! :-?

I've always been fond of this song, so its often an earworm...

Fred the Moose... It's an old scout song that I learned many years ago. I know there are youtube videos if you want to hear it, although I don't advise it. Once it's in, you can't get it out.
I will admit to hiking to Rubber Ducky from time to time, but the song that usually sticks in my head is a French song, A l'ombre du coeur de ma ami, by Georges Brassens. Back in the day, when I was trying to improve my French, I bought a lot of his records (anyone remember records?) and worked through them with a dictionary.

The flying monkeys song from Wizard of Oz. It's actually pretty good for cadence.

In the Smokies in December I spent 2 days trying - and succeeding - to remember the words to "Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer", including the names of all the other reindeer in the intro.
So I've got that going for me...
