Laura and I will be in Lynchburg, Va this weekend and are looking for a good overnight hike for the Lnychburg to Amherst area. We will appreciate any assistance! see ya on the trail!:D

From the parkway head south to the James River staying at the punchbowl shelter.
You could hike the AT from the Tye River to the Mau-Har Trail Trail and back over Three Ridges. Maybe 14 miles total.
