If you use Merino wool layers, socks, hats and so on, you may notice they dry out after a while esp after repeated washings, hard use and just normal "wear and tear".

So, after some searching, found more info than I ever wanted to know about lanolin! ;)

Here is something I wrote up. My favorite ski hat is all nice and supple again!

Can Merino wool be put in the dryer ?

Yeah, that IS awesome, thanks Mags!

BTW: do put my merino wool in a dryer on low heat for 5-7 minutes or so, just to get it started drying. Seems to not affect the garments.

Yep..as Rob said, just put it on low heat for a short time. Let if finish by drip drying. I just got in the habit of drying my synthetic and wool clothing by the drying rack as it was just easier than doing multiple loads when I did not have my own washing machine/dryer. (e.g. coin op!)
