How durable are the zpack stuff sacks. I'll have to if they are worth the extra $ and less wt.

See the feedback I got on "Cuben Fiber Stuffsacks" thread...I went with a z-pack roll-top 2 liter blast, at least for food.

They are great for food in my experience. If you want to keep something dry though, look somewhere else. I had good luck with granite gears dry sacks. The thicker cuben fiber bags can be pretty durable, but will definately develop micro holes or tears in them

I use a string closer rectangular blast bag for food. My hexamid stuff sack has been great, well made. As with any clothing, sleeping bag I use a compactor bag to double insure a dry kit. Not sure what the weight saving would be, I usually figure 20-25$ an ounce lost average.

I have several zpacks stuff sacks and dry bags. All are good after about 30 backpacking days over the past year. More durable than they look.
