I've been searching for ideas for a 3 day, 2 night paddle trip somewhere within an hour or two of Knoxville but I haven't found much along the lines of where to put in, where to camp, portages, etc. I have my own boat and prefer not to pay for a shuttle service if at all possible. Class I and II would be okay, but nothing more than that since the boat will be loaded with gear. I know Big South Fork has several options but all I can find online is what the guide services and outfitters are selling. I also did a trip like this down the Nolichucky in the late 90's but I was young and don't remember exactly where we started and finished. Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.
