Has anyone used the High Sierra Appalachian 75 or Explorer 55 packs? Reviews?

If not, feel free to share your favorite pack and why you like it.

Thanks!

ULA circuit.
+1.

Fits me good. Not uber-light but light. Holds everything I need. Rides well. Made in America.

My go to pack is the High Sierra Hawk 45. Love the pack. I feel like the weight is good for the price and it is very well made. For longer trips I have a High Sierra Sentinel 65. My only complaint with it is that the shoulder straps have to be re-tightened every few miles.

I received a Titan 55 for free. It fits well but I'm so thin I need custom waist belt. Or a women's size pack...

I have an Appalachian 75, I used it on a section hike of the Foothills Trail, holds lots if gear, pretty tough pack, but is a little on the heavy side, ~6lbs. Empty in my scale. I recently switched to the GoLite Jam 70 to save 4lbs. Zippers on the Appalachian 75 are really stiff, too. Takes a little work to zip and unzip.

Also hip belt is really large. Wasn't a problem for my 40" waist, but have read some having problems with fit under a 32" waist.

What is the average weight you carry in each one?

Yes, a lot of reviews I've read say that. I'm pretty thin so that's something I need to try out.

I'm a 28" waist and the hip belt fits me but barely. I'm at the end of the adjustment.

In the 45 liter I'm usually in the mid 20's with food and water. I've been in the high 30's on longer hikes with food and water in the 65 Liter.

The Gregory Z 65 fits me (5'11" and 165 lbs) like a glove. My 28 lbs of gear fits easily and painlessly in the medium model, which weighs 3lbs 6oz. Their customer service is renowned.
