I used to work in R&D for a company that did laundry additives. I tested an anti funk solution that was supposed to keep clothing and shoes from smelling. It was not strong enough for thru hiker funk.

If you change your mind I'll be glad to bring some of Snacktime's for you on our hike. They tend to be of the uber-ripe variety.

Yes, that's very true! :p But the question is- what states are considered to be "Yankee" states? ;) That's not in question for myself btw.. I know I'm a Damned Yankee. :)

Did you know that if your feet smell and your nose runs you're built upsidedown? Just sayin'....

I wear wool socks and normally don't have a severe odor issue but this past October I spent the first 11-12 days with wet feet and I started hating myself, I tried to stay as far away from them as I could but 6' was about as far as I could get. Unfortunately it rubbed off on everything else. I started to throw the shoes away when I got home but a good soaking in some strong bleach did the trick.

I have a neighbor across the street, about 75, nosey as all hell and feels the need to be involved in everyones life. My other neighbor put up a new metal carport and she called the city on him. I would love to send her something dirty but, not my socks.

I thought the test was supposed to be whether or not they could stand by themselves in the corner....
