I got lighter poles, took the shock cord out and replaced with thin 1.18mm rope with only 1 foot of bungee. Now I want to replaced the BIG heavy clips, any suggestions? Where can you purchase the little clips like they one on the Big Agnes tents? If I can find these perhaps I can remove one section of pole? There are 10 of them (clips) to replace and that should save another few ounces. The original tent weights 2 lbs 11.8 oz and the poles now weight 10 ozs, So I am at 3# 6 oz. Oh and I got aluminum shepherds' hooks and I only use 4, 2 for side vents and 2 for the front vestibule. Also use the 1.18mm rope for the side vents. Goal to be about 3 lbs without any loss of comfort. This is a good size tent and it is so simple to put up and it is free standing. Any suggestions?

Hi 1234,
I'm currently experimenting with my Eureka Zeus Exo2, also. Where did you find lighter weight replacement poles? I'm in desperate need.

In response to your query, I've seen small aluminum carabiners that could potentially used as lighter clipping mechanisms. You would have to be handy with a sewing machine I suppose.
