Does anyone know if there's a safe place to leave a car in Glasgow, VA.... during a 5-6 day AT section hike NoBo toward Waynesboro, sometime in April? From what I remember of Glasgow, it's a nice little town, but not much there..... a country store, a Dollar General, a pizza place (great food), gas station, town hall/library, and the AT hiker shelter/camping area over behind the pizza place. Was wondering if anyone knows where a car could be left in the town that would be safe, or any trail angels near there who could give some advice on where to stage a car near there. tia

You can park at the footbridge on 501/130. Go out of Glasgow toward Lynchburg and the parking lot is on the right. I have never heard of anybody having problems there.

You might be able to park at the in town Shelter? Call the city building. Any town that builds a shelter right in the center of town complete with a hot shower & loads of split firewood is a great little town & should be happy to point you in the right direction. Happy Hiking!
