I normally use an alcohol stove which I carry along with my Fosters pots inside a plastic Kool aid container. I store my "kitchen" in one of the outside pockets of my pack. I never worry that it might be crushed if I took a spill and landed on it because the container is very strong.
I recently purchased a Jetboil Sol Ti to carry on my next trip! My question is this: How fragile is this system? Would it be safe to carry it as I do above in an outside pocket or would it be better placed inside my pack? If I fell on it would it be destroyed?
thanks

I have never seen one crushed. I have fallen on my SOL aluminum and there was no damage, the TI is stronger.

The weakest link with the SOL Ti is the potential to overheat the fins causing separation. Jetboil will not guarantee the the stove if you do anything other than boil water.
