Maybe I'm just old school (prior military, too), but where can I find topo maps of the Pinhoti, skyway, chinna

Chinnabee loop? I have a topo of the Pinhoti, but can't find anything on the others. Also looking to possibly to add in Nubbin creek loop, but that depends on elevation change.... That's why I need maps. I have them on my gps, but I still use good old paper maps for planning.

If it's all part of the AT, I have an elevation profile....but not a topo

I'm not lucky enough for the AT quite yet. The Pinhoti is in Alabama.

I have a Talladega National Forrest map that shows all these trails, got it at the Shoal Creek Ranger staion.

The Talladega NF map is nice. If you're simply staying on the trails in and directly around Cheaha SP they offer a free basic trail map. There's also some good info on this loop at the Alabama Trails site(don't know if this is down though), Pinhoti Trail Aliance site(basic map of this loop that Mr Parkay offers free), and a few other sites. Some get you started with Google satellite(good to I think 3 meters or 3 ft) and Google Street map views of both the loops you mentioned. A simple Google search for Cheaha SP Trail Maps will give you what you need. I did the Chinabee Loop as an addition to a Pinhoti Tr thru-hike and had no problems finding and staying on the trails without any detailed topo maps. If I had a bit more time I would have done the Nubbin Loop as well without any detailed topos.

I also use the files from the link below on my GPS. Even if you don't have a GPS, these are nice to use on desktop in Garmins software.

This link starts Gmap4 (I am the developer) and displays a topo centered on Anniston AL
