This thread is for Hikers that want to post where on the AT they are going to section hike in the next 30 days or LESS. This way you will be able to scroll through posting and possibly see postings from hikers you may meet from Whiteblaze on the section your going to do. 30 days or LESS time frame will keep it easier to find recent postings. This should be fun and easy, I did not put this on hooking-up because many of us don't want to hook-up, but may like to say hello to fellow Whiteblazers as we pass by. HIKE ON!!!!

I will post first to get this thread started. This is within the 30 days rule. Have to pick up a small section I missed due to bad weather and a blue blaze. 26th-28th of March 2014 I am doing the section from Standing Indian to Winding Stair. Looking forward to seeing the Albert Mountain part I missed in 2012. HIKE ON!!!

Headed out from Hampton, TN area to Damascus, VA!!! October 15th NOB. First hike with my dog Dexter. Going to go slow and take up to 4-5 days. Just a hike to enjoy and relax. I am usually on a mission and trying to knock down some mile-so I hope this will be a new twist. Sounds like I will see some other WB out there from other posts. HIKE ON!!!!

October 4th starting 85 mile section from Long Trail southern terminus to Minerva Hinchey Shelter. It'll be my shakedown hike for thru-hiking next year, I believe the kit is pretty much dialed in at this point but it'll be great to test it all on a longer hike. Just got my MLD Solomid XL in the mail today so I'm very excited to give it a proper test run. The way leaves are turning right now I think I'll be hiking with peak foliage for some or all of the trip, should be great!

Headed out of Kincora on a shuttle to Erwin on April 21 NB back to Kincora. The Roans-never hiked here yet. I got a feeling I'll be in the bubble, but only break I got this spring. Guess it will take 5 or 6 days to do this section? This will put me in Va., will have every step of Ga.,NC., and TN done after this hike. Hike On!!!!!!

My hiking buddy and I are supposedly headed out for a week starting the 10th - we'll either do the Lakeshore Trail over to Cades Cove via Eagle Creek in the Smokies (her choice since she wants to finish up her 900 miler award) or the AT from Damascus down to Watauga Lake (my choice despite the numbers of thrus that I'll have to share the trail with). My contention is that April is one of the prime months to walk this section and, since it contains no famous highlights like say, Roan Mountain, fewer spring breakers to compete with.
