Hey Guys,

I was wondering how easy it would be score a lift from the trails southern terminus at Springer to Atlanta if I just rocked up at a parking lot and started to ask?

Cheers,

It depends. What month would this take place? Are you a SoBo Thruhiker that just finished? Weekend or weekday?

You could potentially run into a shuttle driver dropping someone off that might help you, especially in March-May. Other than that its probably a crapshoot. ATL is still 2 hours away. Best bet is get a ride down to the nearest convenience store (probably in Dohlonega or Dawsonville), and call a shuttle to pick up there.

Or keep hiking South on the Approach Trail to AFSP.

Or keep hiking South on the Approach Trail to AFSP.
This, then make a sign from some cardboard saying something like "Hiker to (destination)" and stand at the exit road from the park.

Call Ron Brown from the visitor center, he got me to the train in Gainesville at the end of my hike last year. They have his number at the desk.

Ron is not free, just reasonable.
