My favorite to eat and bake is strawberry rhubarb with a lattice crust top :)
however the easiest to take on the trail would probably be a whoopie pie

A local newspaper writer used pi as an opportunity to compare price per square inch to figure out if a large pizza was a better deal than a small pizza.

The area of a circle is π multiplied by the radius (half the diameter) of the circle multiplied by itself. In equation form that’s A=πrē.

So a pizza with a 12-inch diameter has an area of π multiplied by 6 squared, or about 113 square inches. So if you order a 12-inch cheese pizza at Basilico’s in Wellington, it costs $9.29, which breaks down to 8.21 cents per square inch of pizza.
But if you order the 16-inch cheese pizza at Basilico’s ($12.29), you’re getting almost 201 square inches of pizza — that’s 87.9 more square inches of pizza than the smaller size — at the price of 6.11 cents per square inch, which is more than a 2-cent-per-square-inch discount over the smaller size.
It was the same in every other local pizzeria I checked: Whether it was The Mellow Mushroom or Ambrosia in West Palm Beach, Vinny’s Pizza in Jupiter, Augy’s in Boca Raton, Pronti’s Italian Kitchen in Lake Park, or Cafe Frankie’s in Boynton Beach.
The price per square inch of cheese pizzas all fell as the sizes went up. Even between minor size differences.

everyone knows what pi is (3.14), but who knows why pi works?

3.14 is the ratio of 1 degree in a circle, so it works no matter the circumference of the circle

The relation between PI PHI and e is in the twelfth digit of the numbers after the decimal point. Anyway, pie certainly factors into the circumference of my waist!

I seem to remember an e-month back in '71 (or was it '72). I know it was somewhere around there. It lasts for 28 days, but only happens once per century. Some youngsters may be able to celebrate the next one with e-commerce and e-mail. It is fairly popular with lumberjacks who play percussion instruments.
