I have the following for sale:
- 15 X 1oz 800-fill bags
- 2 X 1oz 850-fill down

I cannibalized a JRB Rocky Mountain No-Snivler* (800-fill) and a Western Mountaineering down pillow (850-fill).

As far as I can tell, 800-fill down is going for about $8.75/oz (shipping not included) based on down prices at Wilderness Logics (http://wildernesslogics.com/850-White-Goose-Down-850-Down.htm).

I previously posted this with prices per bag, but I think I'm just going to sell the entire lot for $75, which comes out to $4.41 per oz. So if you're doing a quilt project or something, this is a pretty cheap way to get 17 oz of some nice down. The price includes shipping to the CONUS.

Additional notes: The down will come in gallon ziploc bags. I accept Paypal only. PM me if interested.

* I made some modifications on the JRB quilt and the velcro on it got a little funky so I figured it was worth more dead, than alive

The wilderness logics price doesn't include shipping though. Good price here!

Drybones, thank you for letting me know. I looked at their page (maybe a week ago?) and it was down. I will adjust priced accordingly.

Do you still have that down for sale?

Gonna be a nice little score for someone. Almost wish I had purchased it a while back when I saw it.
I will need a little, not exactly sure how much yet but I know it's not 17 oz.

I see you have 17 ounces of down.

Im still new to hammocking. But down is a preferred material for top/underquilts, right?

About how much of it is in the average top/underquilt?

I bought a sewing machine a few days ago with the ultimate goal of making a top/underquilt but have no idea how much material goes into the average one.

This Western Mountaineering bag comes with 16 ounces of down and is rated for 20 degrees.

Here is a huge table of quilt specifications. Length, width & loft (the important number) all contribute to the amount of down & fabric needed to make a quilt. A lot of good general information here.

Oh okay. So generally a DIY top or under quilt will still cost around $100 for down etc, I'm guessing.... Still better then $300.

Hopefully I'll be able to find a deal like this when Im closer down the road to being able to do a DIY set.
